I think we are all a little intrigued by cranberries. Many ask us- how are cranberries grown? Check out a previous blog that gives you all the history of Cape Cod cranberries. Every fall we look forward to cranberry season when Byron captures beautiful shots of the berries being harvested and Donna loves to plan our Cape Cod Bed and Breakfast treats with fresh cranberries, like this pear and cranberry tart.
In this blog we thought it would be fun to be a tour guide for everything cranberries!
A Day With Cranberries on Cape Cod
Your day begins with our delicious breakfast – which on this special day would include our favorite- Cranberry Orange Scones
After your breakfast relax on our front porch- there is something so relaxing about a rocking chair!
Afterwards, enjoy a cranberry tour at one of our many bogs. We love Annie’s Tour which combines the history of cranberries with a tour of the farm. They have a wonderful gift ship where you can purchase cranberries and fresh honey.
After your tour, follow our map to visit a few historic lighthouses.
On your way home stop at Bill’s Bogs in Harwich. Their bog is a small picturesque bog on 124. After they harvest their cranberries they set up a wonderful old fashion farm stand-honor system! Just love that.
After your busy day of exploring Cape Cod, come back and relax at the inn. Enjoy a cup of tea and one of our famous Cranberry Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Take a little afternoon snooze in front of your room fireplace and then walk to our favorite Cape Cod dining spot- Spinnakers!
The food is over the top delicious and just a few steps from the inn.
Our Cape Cod bed and breakfast is the absolute best place to use as home base while your explore our beautiful peninsula and see what all the excitement is about cranberries.
