Why Cape Cod is the best place to visit on Labor Day weekend

Sunset at Breakwater beach

Labor day is just around the corner and while I am certainly not wishing away the wonderful dog days of summer, I always look forward to Labor Day weekend and the month of September. It really is a magical time on Cape Cod since the weather is still summer like and most of the crowds are gone after the kids go back to school.

Shown below are all the reasons we think  Cape Cod and the Captain Freeman Inn in particular is the PERFECT coastal escape for your Labor Day holiday:

The weather in September is usually very warm as the warm waters from summer keep us about 10 degrees warmer then Boston. Many of our guests continue to swim in the ocean through September.

September is the perfect time to kayak on Cape Cod. We love the folks at www.capekayaking.com They are experienced kayakers that love what they do. Check out a previous blog for pictures and details of our tour in June.

Our award winning inn is just so darn comfortable! The front porch is a great place to relax and watch life roll at a much slower pace.

Our salt water pool is so refreshing and is open through the full month of September. Since it is solar heated the water is always warm and makes for perfect exercise or a relaxing float.

All of our favorite restaurants are still open- including our favorite Clam Shacks, such as Sesuit Harbor, where you can get a delicious lobster roll.

Consider a stay at the Captain Freeman Inn- where fine lodging is in the details. We are located in the Heart of Cape Cod – in Brewster center where you can enjoy a leisurely walk to Breakwater Beach or have an old fashion ice cream cone at the Brewster Scoop.

We have a few rooms left for Labor Day. Call us today to reserve your Cape Cod getaway over Labor Day weekend.
