We recently came back from a wonderful vacation out west. We have been so busy renovating our two inns, Brewster by the Sea Inn and Spa and the Captain Freeman inn that we have hesitated to take vacations over the years. I have a new appreciation for the value of getting away. We had the luxury of closing both inns for the full month of March so that we could take our time with our road trip. We visited friends and family along the away…..
and saw beautiful country in Arizona and New Mexico.
We enjoyed great food…..
Got plenty of exercise and enjoyed quiet time together. I was in awe of the Grand Canyon and enjoyed letting our inner child come out to play during our travels….
I also had a ball riding horses on the ranch we stayed at in New Mexico…..
The best part of our vacation was when we crossed over the bridge to come home. We were both rested, happy, refreshed and rejuvenated for our summer season. My mind had thought through some new breakfast recipes, and I was so excited to test them back at the inn. Happy to report that my research was a great success, and we have many yummy new recipes for our summer guests to enjoy. Including homemade English Muffins for our Green Eggs and Ham…..
a yummy new Rustic Blueberry Cake…..
Polenta with an balsamic reduction, just to name a few…..
When we woke the next morning to have a wonderful cup of our inn coffee and looked out the window in our kitchen to see the beautiful Brewster wind mill across the street
I realized that we live in a beautiful part of the country and everyone should take time to get away for a holiday. Exhaling on Cape Cod and feeling very blessed!
