Cape Cod is now very much a year-round destination, with special events held virtually all year long throughout the region. On this page, you’ll find fun-filled happenings in Brewster, Provincetown and Nantucket, and all over Cape Cod, to enjoy during your stay at The Captain Freeman Inn.
One of the activities our guests ask about most frequently is whale watching on Cape Cod. It is one of our favorite things to do and we recommend taking the Dolphin Fleet out of Provincetown. According to a story on USA Today, “The World Wildlife Fund ranks Massachusetts as one of the top 10 whale watching spots in the world,” and we couldn’t agree more! Whales are typically found off of Cape Cod and the Islands from mid-March well into the autumn months. Whale watching voyages run from mid-April through the month of October. In the spring months, locals love spending time on the beach hoping to catch sight of the whales as they migrate through the area en-route to the rich feeding grounds of Stellwagen Bank to the north of Provincetown.
