Our Personal Connection

Byron has a deep love for Blues music and speaks of the connection he feels with the lyrical emotion and sultry melodies of this genre. When we were first dating many years ago in Houston we would frequent a dive bar called Shakespheres. We loved the live music which was always local musicians playing the most emotional blues music I can remember. I always loved going but hated the smoking that was allowed in the restaurant at that time- I guess smoking and blues just go together sometimes.

While it’s hard for Byron and I to leave the inn together on the weekends since we are still so busy, we decided that Byron is going to this festival this year. We still have two rooms open so consider joining him for this special event on Nauset Beach.

About the Festival

When: September 14, 2019

Where: Nauset Beach, Orleans

This event was started last year by Garrett Dutton, a.k.a G. Love. As a big family man, G. Love is excited to bring his musical family together with his Outer Cape Cod family in the Second Annual Cape Cod Roots & Blues Festival. The one-day celebration of music, community, and Cape Cod beach culture will include sets from G. Love & Special Sauce, Citizen Cope, Chadwick Stokes and The Pintos, Mihali(of Twiddle), and Clearcola.

Both the relationships with the people of the Outer Cape Cod Community and the beautiful surrounding local landscape, are an important part of CCR&B Festival. The surrounding beaches along with local favorite, Hog Island Beer Co., share the event space again with the homegrown, raw and rootsy music of the extraordinary live performers of the CCR&B Festival. These exceptional characteristics blend together to produce a unique event right on the Atlantic Ocean, creating an exquisite day of sounds, sites and clean, fresh ocean air.

In the spirit of that blend of music and community nature, the CCR&B Festival will be again be donating a portion of the proceeds to local organization, Friends of Nauset Beach, which aims to preserve the natural habitat, wildlife and fauna of the Outer Cape and donating a portion of the proceeds.
