Where to Visit in Cape Cod

Here are some of the activities our guests have enjoyed while staying on the Cape. The Captain Freeman Inn is centrally located in the heart of Brewster and convenient to many activities for our guest's enjoyment. Outdoor Activities:
Beaches, out our Inn and a short walk down Breakwater Road will take you to Breakwater Beach. A locally known spot with white sand as far as the eye can see. Strolling along the water or relaxing under an umbrella reading a book, Breakwater Beach is the place to spend those lazy summer days. Stop by the office where complimentary beach chairs can be obtained for your day at the beach.

Biking, spend the day peddling through quaint towns and scenic preserves. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is an asphalt bikeway that starts in Dennis and continues for 26 miles ending in Wellfleet. The trail, which follows the Old Colony Railroad tracks and makes its way through Brewster and Nickerson State Park. You can chose to use one of our complimentary bikes or rent a bike from the many places available in the Brewster area.

At Rail Trail you will find one such place, located on Underpass Road, where you can rent a bike, leave your car, grab a lunch to go, and head out on the bike path.
